Engine 427 BBC Burred .036" 433 cu. in. 4 bolt main caps. Chevy steel crankshaft main and rod journals are standard. 7/16 Chevy steel dimple connecting rods with full floating pins. 11:8 compression pistons camshaft. Roller rockers with stud girdles, cast iron merlin rectangular port open changer cylinder heads Jericho with ARP bolts milidon oil pan. Holley 1050 dominator carb on victor jr single plane aluminum intake 2 1/8" hooker headers. Jet hot coated with race mufflers. Be kool aluminum radiator, mioroso aluminum water pump with electric motor drive, electric radiator fan front and rear motor plates.
Transmission is a jericho DR-4 proshifter 4-speed which was purchased new. It has a long vertical gate shifter with T-Handle and line lock button. Lakewood scatter shield and block saver plate. Ram 2800 pound pressure plate, ram metallic 6 finger clutch disc. Long style throw-out bearing. Keular pilot Bushing. This set-up works fantastic.
Front end suspension is stock except for 90-10 drag shocks and spring travel climaters. Car was back hacuep in 1980. Ladder bar with track locater bar. Fully custom braced ford 9 inch rear end with 5:43 Richmond pro-gear that was just checked and is in excellent condition. Strange 33 spline spool, strange 33 spline pro race axles aluminum konl coil over shocks. Wheelie bars all 4 centerline rims. Mickey Thompson ET drag slicks 31/10.5-15w. Moroso - ds-2 front skinny tires 25x4.5-15.
The interior consists of 2 drag bucket seats. 6 point roll cage with x-brace, a 5 point seat belt harness. All factory dash, door panels, headliner etc. Monster tach with shift light mounted on dash. Oil pressure water temperature and fuel pressure auto meter gauges mounted on cowl outside. Switches for fuel pump, electric fan and water pump are where radio was.
Fuel Electrical system is an 8 gallon Harwood fuel cell mounted in trunk. One holley blue fuel pump with inline from filter. All braided fuel lines back to front with anodied fittings to fuel pressure regulator then to carburetor. One deep cycle batter with cut-off switch. MSD 6 ac ignition box, msd billed distributer, msd coil, power master starter.
The body is all steel except for 6" snorkel fiberglass hood that goes up to windshield held down by D2US fasteners. Steel inner fender wheels are still in it. All factory glass is in excellent shape. This car could be restored to its original SS396 375 HP automatic roots. Comes with miscellaneous interior parts like arm rests that were removed for the roll cage. Overall body is very straight and paint is in very good condition. This car has always been stored inside.
This car is an absolute blast to drive having the Jericho 4-speed in it. It has primarily been raced in super-pro brack racing at Byron Dragway and some NHRA super-street racing. It is a consistent car as far as predicting its elapsed time. It comes with a logbook of elapsed times, weather conditions to help the new owner get off to a new start with the car. The previous owner enjoyed 33 fantastic years racing and working on this car and hopes the next owners will be as privileged as they were.
