Incredible, professional build with a ton of custom, show-winning features! - Stunning White and Teal Blue Pearl with Frost Ultra Leather Interior - Legendary Downs glass body with a 3" inch chopped top - 350 CID / 300 HP SBC engine, TH350 Automatic transmission, Ford 9" rear end - NSRA Yearbook Cover Car Exterior The 2-year build began with a complete Downs 1937 Ford Hard Top Coupe 3- inch chop fiberglass body system, featuring extensive steel reinforcements throughout, sanded, buffed, and finished in matte black Duratek primer. The builder applied custom mixed White pearl paint on the topside and '99 Mazda Teal overlaid with Blue Pearl on the bottom of the car. The finishing touch was color-keyed hand painted graphics that line up perfectly with the inside of door jams and continue over front of dash and back out the other side of car, creating an eye-catching visual. Other custom features include replacement of the unsightly windshield division bar with a V-butt windshield, integration of front LED turn signals into the headlights, and a body-molded third brake light. The ribs in all the chrome trim are detailed with the blue color of the car. All body panel gaps and lines are uniform and with the exception of some practically minor and unnoticeable stone chips on the front fenders, the finish is exceptional. Interior Luxurious Frost Ultraleather, capturing the look, feel, and durability of genuine European calfskin covers the front bucket seats with electric lumbar support, rear seat, door panels, kick panels, headliner, and trunk of this show-quality street rod. Interior features include a custom-made console containing power windows, wipers, and interior switches. Inside door handles are hidden under the arm rests. A leather 1/2 wrapped billet steering wheel is mounted atop an Ididit tilt chrome steering column. The matching woven carpet is in excellent condition with no discernible wear or other blemishes. The simple and uncluttered dash is filled with a Dakota Digital instrument insert providing an "easy on the eyes" blue colored digital readout for the vitals. Cabin comfort is provided by a Vintage Air AC, heat and defrost system. Tunes are controlled by a Sony Radio AM/FM/CD with iPod hook up. A Sony 10-CD Changer and Amplifier are tucked away in the trunk. Powered equipment includes shaved door handles with remote openers, windows, radio antenna, and trunk (also has a hidden trunk pull wire for emergencies). Engine and Driveline A mid-80s 350 CID /300 HP SBC engine, TH350 Automatic transmission, Ford 9" rear end with 373 gears (non posi.) comprise the drivetrain. The show-prepped and highly detailed engine compartment is filled with chrome and polished billet. The underside of the hood is lettered with the name of the car using the same colors as the graphics. The engine is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap intake manifold, topped with a 600 cfm carb. Chrome valve covers, wire looms, pulleys, brackets, AC compressor, and 1-wire alternator. A Chevy HEI distributor fires the plugs. Custom-made stainless steel lines are used for the distributor and PCV valve. Up front is a polished aluminum Griffin Radiator with electric fans on thermostat and switch allowing the car to run about 180 degrees in the summer with A/C on. A custom Fat Man tubular frame, powder coated the same color as the car, is fitted with Mustang II front suspension, adjustable coil overs, rack and pinion steering, leaf springs and chrome shocks at the rear, drum brakes, and a 16 gallon fuel tank. Front disc brakes are an SSBC Disc Brake Kit with Force 10 Tri-Power 3-Piston Aluminum calipers and 13" slotted rotors. Wheels and Tires Wheels are one-off made by Nitro; front tires are Goodyear Eagle GT 215/45R/17, rear tires are Goodyear Eagle LS 225/60R/17.
